Hanau, Germany, 2007

More Pictures coming soon!

Thursday - Arrival & Home Parties

Awaiting pics.

Friday daytime - Fire!

A visit to the firestation in Hanau, where the (apparently) willing volunteers told us all about the history and activities of the group. Followed by various games involving hosepipes and breathing aparatus!

I only hope they don't regularly consume the same quantity of beer and apfelwein that their visitors did. Great weather for an al-fresco buffet afterwards.

Friday - James Bond Theme Party

Despite Ninove thinking they were home and dry with their sexy "Bond Girls", Wotton somehow stormed the sketch competition, with a ditty largely improvised on the night. Fortunately no pictures seem to have survived.

The Bond Girls stepped into the limelight again though with Inspector Clousea, to present the theme for next year in Aix: Fairytales (at least I think that's what the sign said).

Saturday - Business Meeting & Pubs

Down to business at last - well that's what it's all about isn't it?

After the business was over, a quick Chilli and down to the pub to watch footie.

The ladies were treated to a historical visit and shopping trip.

Saturday - Gala Night

Dancing girls and live music to entertain us at the Gala Evening, followed by some impromptu "talent" spots by members of the audience - though hardly "X-factor".

Whoah, careful Jacques! By this time of the evening, the traditional Chairman's drinking competition has become something of a challenge. In fact just holding the pot has become something of a challenge.

Sunday - Departure Brunch

Awaiting pics.

A big thanks to our hosts fro Hanau, for a great weekend!

2008 - Aix-en-Provence, France

Taking its cue from the fact that Hanau was the birthplace of the Brothers Grimm, next year's theme is "Fairytales".

Put it in your diary: May 1st - 4th 2008

"Will my bum look big in this?"

This seems to be becoming something of a tradition.

Hey, isn't that our IPC in there?

He's not really...

Put it away! On second thoughts, they've put enough away already...

"Sinne Firnna Fáil...."
